JETAA Canada is the "umbrella" organization of JET Programme alumni associations across Canada, made up of the seven recognized chapters across the nation. If you're a former JET participant living in Canada—no matter when, where, or how long you lived in Japan, whether or not you returned to the region you departed from, or even if you didn't depart from Canada—congratulations! You can consider yourself a member of JETAA Canada. Lifetime membership, no fees now or ever. All we ask is that you please get in touch with the JETAA chapter in your local area.
JETAA International (JETAAi) provides a central point of communication, facilitates exchange of resources, knowledge and talent, and helps promote the JET Programme and alumni chapters around the world. Nearly 23,000 alumni are registered to the 50+ regional chapters located across 17 countries.
The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is a Japanese government sponsored exchange programme that offers university graduates opportunities for full time jobs as either an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) or a Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) in Japan.
The Association for JET (AJET) is a volunteer organisation of JET Programme participants. AJET serves the JET community by building support networks, organising useful information, and offering resources to enhance the lives of the Programme participants in Japan and abroad.
